How to Clean and Sterilize Wheat Straw Dinnerware?

Tableware is what we must use when we eat. There are many kinds of tableware on the market, and wheat straw tableware is one of them. The tableware should be cleaned in time after use, and it should be disinfected regularly to ensure the cleanliness of the tableware and better protect our health. So, how to clean and sterilize the wheat straw tableware set? Let's find out together.

Ⅰ. How to clean wheat straw tableware for the first time?

The newly bought wheat straw tableware looks very clean. In fact, the tableware will inevitably be stained with bacteria and floating dust that we cannot see with the naked eye. Because wheat straw tableware will be in contact with many machines during production, and it will also be in contact with human hands during packaging. There will inevitably be bacteria and dust on the tableware, so it must be cleaned before the first use, which is safer and hygienic. The cleaning method is as follows:

1. After getting the new wheat straw tableware, we must first rinse the tableware with clean water to remove the floating dust on the surface of the tableware.

2. Then add a few drops of dishwashing liquid to the water, wash the tableware with dishwashing liquid again, and then rinse with plenty of water.

3. Prepare a pot of boiling water, use boiling water to wash the cleaned tableware, scald and wash it, carry out sterilization and disinfection, and then put it on the rack to drain the water, and you can use it with confidence.

Ⅱ. The wheat straw meal has a method of cleaning oil stains

1. Clean with detergent

After the wheat straw tableware is used, if there is a slight oil stain, it can be washed directly with detergent, and then rinsed with a lot of water to wash off the oil stain.

2. Wash with baking soda

If there is more oil on the straw tableware, we can use baking soda to clean it. Prepare hot water at about 50 ℃, add an appropriate amount of baking soda, and then soak the wheat straw tableware in the baking soda water for 15-30 minutes, clean it, and the baking soda can effectively decontaminate. When cleaning, you can also add some detergent, the effect will be better. After cleaning, be sure to rinse with clean water to avoid residues of detergent and baking soda on the tableware.

3. Wash with rice water

When it comes to washing rice water, many people just throw it away after washing the rice. In fact, rice washing water has many functions, because rice washing water contains minerals and trace elements, which can not only be used to water flowers and provide nutrients, also has the function of removing oil stains and odors. Therefore, when the wheat straw tableware set is oily, we can directly wash it with rice water, and then scald it with hot water, and the tableware will become very clean.

Ⅲ. The disinfection method of wheat straw tableware

Wheat straw tableware is made of wheat straw and food-grade PP material, the biodegradable food packaging materials, through high temperature hot pressing. The material is healthy and environmentally friendly. It has the characteristics of high density, not easy to breed bacteria, mildew resistance and drop resistance, and can be used at minus 20 ℃ to 120 ℃. Therefore, disinfection is also very convenient, and there are many disinfection methods.

1. Hot water scalding and disinfection

Wheat straw tableware can be used between minus 20 ℃ and 120 ℃, so after each use, it can be scalded with boiling water directly, which can play the role of high temperature sterilization. However, wheat straw tableware cannot be cooked with boiling water, because the cooking temperature is between 100°C and 200°C, and it can easily exceed 120°C, which will decompose the wheat straw fibers.

2. Disinfection cabinet disinfection

Wheat straw tableware can be sterilized with ultraviolet rays and ozone in the disinfection cabinet, but it cannot be disinfected with the high temperature layer of the disinfection cabinet, and the wheat straw tableware cannot be sterilized under the sun, which will accelerate the aging of the tableware and shorten the service life of the tableware.

3. Salt water disinfection

Prepare a basin of water, add an appropriate amount of salt to the water, keep the concentration of the brine above 15%, and then put the wheat straw tableware set in the brine and soak for half an hour. Salt water can play a good role in sterilization and disinfection. After soaking, wash it again with boiling water, and the disinfection effect will be better. In short, the cleaning and disinfection methods of wheat straw tableware are basically the same as those of ceramic tableware we usually use, but wheat straw tableware is not resistant to high temperature, so it cannot be boiled with boiling water, nor can it be sterilized with a high-temperature sterilization cabinet, and it cannot be baked in an oven for disinfection. Usually, as long as it is cleaned in time, and it is often washed with hot water and soaked in salt water, it is a very good disinfection method.
