Plastic Free 100% Compostable Straws - Great alternative to extra long plastic straws. They are made from materials such as modified cornstarch and PLA. This plant-based straw is heat-resistant up to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (about 65.6 degrees Celsius). Composting is the process of breaking down organic waste through microbial digestion to produce compost. Our straws meet all requirements of European standard EN 13432 and/or American standard ASTM D6400. Both specifications require biodegradable/compostable products to fully decompose in the composting environment within a specific time frame, leaving no harmful residues.
